Dennis Calvin Kraus was born to Calvin and Melba Cletus (Hopp) Kraus on December 22, 1945 in Keokuk, Iowa. He died on February 27, 2025 in the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri. Dennis attended Arbela School until the 8th grade and then graduated high school from Scotland County High School in 1963.
He was married to Mary Lou (Tague) Cline on August 18, 1991, and united their families with four sons: Todd, Chris, Jeff, and Steven.

Dennis’s favorite pastimes were spent with his horses, his family and grandchildren. His face lit up when holding grandbabies and he loved to spend time with them. His love of farming kept him going, especially baling hay. He spent many years baling hay with his dad, Steven, Jeff, cousins and anyone else who might be interested in learning.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou of Memphis, Mo; his sons Todd (Lezah) Cline of Memphis, Mo; Chris (Sarah) Cline of Kansas City, Mo; Jeff (Angel Arnold) of Memphis, Mo; Steven (Jonell) Kraus of Independence, Mo; a sister, Sandra Kraus of Arbela, Mo; 9 grandchildren, Darick Cline, Venessa Graves , Stephen Glover, Rebecca Cline, Hannah (Colten) Stephens, Nova Cline, Noah Cline, Madelyn Cline, and Penelope Cline; 4 great grandchildren; several cousins and friends.
