Audrey “Audie” Marie Drummond passed away Thursday morning, March 5, 2015 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis. The daughter of Noah Edward and Mamie Cora Saulsburry Montgomery, she was born February 14, 1928 on the home place south of Memphis commonly known as the Ridge Road in Scotland County, Missouri.
She married Byron “Barney” Drummond on May 12, 1957 and to this union two children were born, Kelly and Karla.
Audrey graduated form the Memphis High School in 1947. Audrey and Barney dated 10 years before they were married and they were married for 47 years until Barney's death. In those 10 years they attended several dances and many roller rinks where they enjoyed many hours of roller skating.
Audrey enjoyed collecting birds and rocks. She would pick up rocks anytime they went on vacation. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and Texas Rummy.
Audrey was a member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary # 4958 for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stillborn son, one brother, Robert, one sister Lucille, and a son-in-law, Doug Rainey.
Surviving relatives include her son, Kelly Drummond and his wife Carol of Barnhart, MO: her daughter, Karla Jo Rainey of Memphis: two granddaughters Crystal Marie and Amy Nicole Drummond of Barnhart, MO, a sister-in-law, Martha Montgomery of Alma, NB, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in care of the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Missouri 63555.Visitation

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 8, at 2:00 P.M. the Payne Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Drummond officiating.
