- Shelby Michael Smith, 33, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away on Monday July 18, 2022 at Pacific, Missouri. The son of Richard and Lisa Kissell Smith he was born April 4, 1989 at Aledo, Illinois.
He was a mechanic and worked construction. Shelby enjoyed spending time with his daughters. His hobbies were motorcycles and cars along with listening to his music.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Smith, grandmother, Martha Spence, grandfather, Lyle (Butch) Kissell, grandparents, Donald and Mary Bergheger, and one cousin, Raymond Kissell.
He is survived by his children: Taylor Garr of Lancaster, Missouri, Amber Smith and Alaina Smith, of Arbela, Missouri; his mother: Lisa (Bill) Bergheger of Gorin, Missouri, his dad: Richard Smith of the state of Georgia, two brothers: Scott (Ann) Smith, Kirksville, Missouri, Billy Bergheger, Jr., Muscatine, Iowa; one sister: Emily Bergheger, Gorin, Missouri; his grandmother: Carol Kissell of Keokuk, Iowa, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family to defer the charges of funeral expenses and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Missouri 63555.
As per his wishes direct cremation will follow the visitation with the family present that will be held Saturday afternoon, 7/30, from 2 - 4 P.M. at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis and the family will have a private interment later on.
